I studied and worked in Europe for the last 7 years and when I moved to London in September SET was one of the first spaces for artists I was introduced to. I rent a studio at SET woolwich, and also go regularly to SET social. It has been a fantastic introduction to artists and community in the city.

I graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Acadamie in 2021, winning their prize in Fine Art. I have built a diverse portfolio of freelance work including films, copy writing and social media content for artists, residencies, designers, brands, theatres, universities, festivals and restaurants. These vary from directing long form documentaries to writing exhibition texts to reels for social media.

Since mid September I have been making weekly content for Crispin, Bistro Freddie and Bar Crispin’s instagram accounts. In this short time frame the restaurant group has gained over 50,000 followers.

I have also been commissioned to make my own work. Most notably theatre for the Stedelijk Museum and the City of Amsterdam. And films for AT5 Tv channel and PLAST space. Below is an example of the communication that I made for one of the shows, including exhibition text, posters and a promotional video.

I have ideas about what the future of SET’s communications could look like, with an emphasis on telling the story of the members of the community and the unique feeling of the spaces. Incorporating SEO strategies, including local SEO tactics to target artists in London and backlinking efforts to gain recognition from other art organizations and galleries, could significantly enhance SET's online visibility. But I believe at the core, the focus should be on content creation, showcasing SET and all the talented creatives within its community, across public sites, events and between the studio walls.
